Full-Time Employees get 5 Paid Sick Days
Eligibility: Must have worked in Calif 30 days or more in a 12 month period.
Employees will be entitled to request and use sick leave after the 90th day of employment
Annual 12 month period is considered to be 12 months from Jan 1-Dec 31.
ACTIVE FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES
Full-time employees will receive 40 hours of sick pay every 12 months
beginning January 1st each year.
Unpaid sick leave not paid out by Dec 31st of any year will NOT
roll over to following year. Upon employee termination, resignation
or retirement unused sick pay will NOT be paid out.
Part-time employees will accrue 0.0334 hours of sick time for every hour worked.
NEW EMPLOYEES
New Employees will be given sick pay as of their hire date
but may only start to use it after their 90th day of employment.
Unpaid sick leave not paid out by December 31st of any year will

retirement unused sick pay will NOT be paid out.
A. ALL EMPLOYEES
May request to be paid sick pay when time is taken off due to
any purposes described below.
Employees will receive their regular hourly wage when being paid sick pay hours.
B. USE OF SICK PAY HOURS
Employees must request to be paid for sick leave either orally
or in writing.
Employees will be entitled to use available and accrued sick
pay hours beginning on the 90th day of employment. Any time taken
for illness or injury before completing this period of continuous employment may be without pay.
If the need for paid sick leave is foreseeable provide
reasonable advance notice to your employer. Schedule appointments either at the
beginning or end of your workday. If you become sick during the day, you must
inform your employer before you leave the office.
Sick pay may be used in as little as 1 hour increments.
Paid sick leave is available only for days on which you would have been
scheduled to work, but were unable to work because of:
Diagnosis, care or treatment of an existing health condition of, or
preventive care for, you and your family member. If you are a
victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking,
“Family members” Includes: A child, which means a biological,
adopted, or foster child, stepchild, legal ward, or a child to whom
you stand in loco parentis. This definition of a child is
applicable regardless of age or dependency status. The biological,
adoptive, or foster parent, stepparent, or legal guardian of you or
your spouse or registered domestic partner, or a person who stood
in loco parentis when you were a minor child. Your spouse, Your
registered domestic partner, Your grandparent Your grandchild Your
sibling. Paid sick leave will be integrated with California State
Disability Insurance (SDI) benefits and/or worker’s compensation
insurance benefits in such a way that the total sick leave benefits
paid by the Company, and those you receive from SDI or workers’
Compensation insurance, will not exceed 100 percent of your regular weekly wage.
