🌼 Welcome to Children’s Cottage!

Where Little Ones Blossom and Families Grow Together

At Children’s Cottage, we believe that early childhood is a magical time—and we’re honored to be part of your family’s journey. As a well-established center serving infants through preschoolers, we offer a nurturing environment where children thrive and families feel truly connected. Many of our families stay with us for up to five years, building lasting relationships with our caring staff and one another.

🧸 Thoughtful Care, Tailored to Every Age

We embrace a balanced approach to learning, blending traditional early childhood education with play-based exploration. Our curriculum is designed to spark curiosity, foster independence, and celebrate each child’s unique developmental path.

👶 Child / Teacher Ratios

  • Infants (2–24months): 3–4 children per caregiver

  • Preschool/TK (2–5 yrs): 8 children per teacher with 2 staff

🌞 A Day in the Life at Children’s Cottage

💗 Babies (2mo–10mo)

Our youngest learners follow individualized schedules that honor their natural rhythms. Feedings, naps, and playtime are all guided by each child’s needs. During awake times, we offer gentle floor play, music, and sensory-rich invitations to explore.

🐣 Infants (10mo–18mo)

As routines begin to form, children enjoy shared mealtimes and transition to one nap. They begin feeding themselves and move from cribs to cozy mats with school-provided blankets. Outdoor play becomes a daily joy.

🎨 Toddlers (18mo–24mo)

Children begin eating at small tables with spoons and forks, gaining independence and confidence. This age group delights in creative expression—painting, coloring, and water play when the sun is shining.

🏫 Preschool Adventures (2–5 yrs)

Once children turn two, they transition to our preschool building, where each day is filled with discovery and joy.

  • Daily Rhythm: Free play, circle time, small group learning, and outdoor exploration (1 hour morning + 1 hour afternoon)

  • Potty Training: Integrated into daily routines with gentle guidance

  • Meals: Morning and afternoon snacks provided; parents pack lunch

  • Rest Time: Soft music and cozy mats; quiet activities for non-nappers

  • Circle Time: Numbers, colors, shapes, vocabulary, socialization

  • Special Projects: Cooking, gardening, and hands-on activities

  • Water Play: Splashing fun with water tables and our cheerful octopus sprinkler—even on rainy days under our covered deck

🛡️ Safety, Health & Inclusion

We welcome children with food allergies, asthma, and other medical needs.

  • Allergy Awareness: Staff trained in EpiPen use; alternative snacks provided

  • Clean & Careful: Handwashing before and after meals; seating arrangements to prevent exposure

  • Medical Support: CPR & First Aid certified staff; trained in administering inhalers, nebulizers, and other medications with proper documentation

🌈 Beautiful Spaces to Learn & Grow

We’ve recently renovated our infant and preschool outdoor areas with brand-new play structures designed for joyful movement and imaginative play. All six classrooms feature fresh layouts and beautiful new furniture to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every child.

At Children’s Cottage, we’re more than a childcare center—we’re a community where children are cherished, and parents feel supported every step of the way. We’d love to welcome your family into ours.
